The planet Elysium is a super-telluric planet located within the habitable zone of its star and is orbited by two vibrant moons. Lanis, the smaller of both moons, is perhaps most significant and home to Elysium’s first lunar colony and permanent residency beyond the gravity lock of the planet. Additionally an antediluvian debris field that separates the planet from both moons is suspected by scientists today to have once been an ancient third moon, though there has been conflicting research, leaving Elysium’s scientists without consensus on the matter.

The history of civilization on Elysium has found its territorial designations segmented into five ruling kingdoms: Eidolon, Valleteia, Sernatum, Corin and Nexun. Though historically tumultuous, the five kingdoms have found themselves united to maintain peace and prosperity for a strong and prosperous Elysium, the Midway Space Station a shining jewel signifying their bond.

Eidolon is regarded as the oldest lasting kingdom of Elysium, containing the densest population and the second largest and most diverse land mass. The ancient city-state of Helios in Eidolon is the modern seat of power for the Council of Elysium, which solidifies to this day a prominent role for both the kingdom and the planet as a whole.

Valleteia is a kingdom rooted prominently in the ways of the sea. Its civilization consists of structures on both land and intricately built in the depths of the ocean stretching from its megalithic harbors of its royal capital city. It is connected very closely to the time of an ancient Cyrillian conflict of [REDACTED] and the [REDACTED] against an unknown oppressor thousands of years prior. Leadership of Valleteia is a monarchy led by Queen Aivenna Concrodia III, whose bloodline is rumored to trace back to ancient Cyril.

Nexun is officially Elysium’s youngest kingdom, born from a heritage of ruling families dating back hundreds of years. These regional ruling families and nationstates decided to come together under one rule and eventually created what has come to be known as Nexun - A Nexus United - rightfully in fear of what sparked the conflict that resulted in The Great Schism War thirty three solar cycles ago.

Corin is a small kingdom located between Nexun and Sernatum, and has often been victim to the ambitions of the oft merciless nature of Sernatum’s ruling High Lord Rham. Corin’s population is scattered across its vast forests, striving to preserve societal harmony with its ecosystem, despite the carelessness of its westward neighbor. Approaching its westward border with Sernatum reveals a devastated ecosystem of drying savannah in what should be a healthy rainforest. Corin’s leader, Prime Minister Shae Cordelia is often caught balancing the weight of peace with the weight of survival.

Sernatum, though now at peace, has been a kingdom wrought with conflict, most notably its role in sparking The Great Schism War. It is perhaps too simple an explanation to describe its historically charged views of the whole of Corin and part of what is now Nexun as a territorial claim, but nonetheless… Coming from a legacy of independence and isolationism, Sernatum is most mysterious, and its civilization is not widely understood. Secrecy is perhaps a cornerstone of Sernatum, the mythos surrounding their Praetorium Citadel even more fantastical and obscure comparatively to the other kingdoms’ mysterious Praetorate Order. There are hopes that its current leader, High Lord Rham Kvido will continue open dialogue with Prime Minister Shae Cordelia and President Vincent Sloane of the Council of Elysium.
